What is your background and experience? Tell us a bit about yourself

I am originally from the city of East London which is located in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. With the Lord ordering my steps, I moved to Johannesburg to pursue my studies in music. In 2021 I obtained my Bachelor of Music honours degree from the University of the Witwatersrand majoring in Classical voice performance and Cultural Policies and Management. The choice to take music further was a seed that God had planted when I first came to Christ at 16 years old and throughout the years He has been faithful in revealing the greater plan bit by bit.

Shortly before joining Wycliffe SA, I had served as the Business and Operations Manager for a live arts production organisation in Johannesburg. I learned many lessons and gained  skills that have been incredibly useful for my current role.

What is your role in Bible Translation? Tell us a bit about what you'll be doing

As the PtS Administrator, my role involves providing operational support for the project and to its stakeholders. Some of my tasks include coordinating, scheduling, communicating and interacting with various partners (both on and off the field) in the area of finance. As a Project Facilitator intern, my primary task is shadowing the senior Field Coordinator so as to learn and develop the skills necessary for the role.

What are some of your hobbies and interests?

I enjoy travelling so I am thrilled that my position requires a lot of that. I love eating and making good food - another passion of mine that I hope to explore more someday soon. Another big part of my life is, of course, the fact that I am a performing artist so I’ll often be found on stage ministering and/or entertaining through music. I also love reading and have slowly gotten back into it in the recent months!

What is something you enjoy/are looking forward to about being part of WSA/Bible Translation?

I appreciate the commitment that WSA has when it comes to serving the nations by making sure that everyone can receive the Bible in their own language and I am truly honoured to be playing my part in the fulfilment of this vision. I also love that I am working with people who are prayerful and have their own personal journeys with Christ. I am looking forward to seeing where the PtS project goes in the coming years and to witnessing even more how transformative the Word of God truly is. Lastly, I am excited about all the growth that lies ahead of me! I look forward to adding value and bearing fruit in this new environment that God has placed me.
