Jubilee Celebration
28th September 2025
Our 50th anniversary is a milestone that celebrates five decades of growth, change, and enduring commitment to bringing God’s Word to people in their own languages.
The Jubilee year was celebrated through a series of interconnected events that captured the theme of jubilation, including a celebration that brought together friends, partners, and supporters from across South Africa and beyond. There were hugs, laughter, and exclamations of delight as people who hadn’t seen each other in years or decades reunited for this historic occasion. Around the room, past and present leaders sat side by side, and the veterans who had dedicated their lives to Bible Translation welcomed new members ready to continue the mission.

Run for the Bibleless
8th March 2025
We are overjoyed to reflect on the success of this year’s Run for the Bibleless 2025, held at the vibrant Bunny Park in Benoni as well as running elsewhere in Pretoria. What an incredible day it was, blessed by God with perfect weather and an atmosphere filled with joy and purpose!
A huge thank you to all the participants who dedicated their time to support the essential work of Bible translation. Your involvement is making a profound impact, bringing the transformative message of God’s Word to countless communities across Africa.
Voices of Jubilation Song Competition
27th July 2024
Sometimes partnership takes the form of lively entertainment events with a higher purpose. Our Voices of Jubilation worship concert brought together churches from all over Johannesburg and performers from as far as Switzerland. The concert was held as part of the run-up to our 2025 Jubilee celebration, which will mark Wycliffe SA’s 50th birthday.
It was also a competition with prizes to be won, including the opportunity to perform at the Wycliffe Global Gathering in November and be featured on our Jubilee album which will be released next year. The performers had all written their own music on the Jubilee theme, and were evaluated by the judges during the event to determine who would be awarded the prizes (a tough call, given the quality of every piece performed).

Run for the Bibleless
9th March 2024
It was pitch black as the first few cars pulled up in an empty parking lot in Benoni. 5:00 am, even in summer, is cold. As vehicles trickled in, a dedicated team quickly set to work, transforming the once empty space into a bustling hub of activity, erecting gazebos, adorning stalls, and meticulously arranging every detail for the day's event. By 7:00 the venue was alive with energy and anticipation for the run.
Susan Nyaga, who was at the first South African R4TB in Stellenbosch on 10 March 2012, and also represents our counterparts who started R4TB in Kenya, spoke to the crowd about the importance of Bible Translation and the significance of their support. We also enjoyed a dance show Impact Missions youth and a performance by the visiting Baphuthi team.
Run for the Bibleless
11th March 2023
Saturday 11th March marked our first Run for the Bibleless event in South Africa! Despite a few bumps along the way, the organising team did an amazing job to put together such a fun morning. Praise God who directed and encouraged us at every step.
Overall, more than 53 churches were represented through the 287 fun runners and 52 volunteers, ranging from ages 3 - 80. We received R42,000 from registrations, R6,335 from sales, and R74,439 from donations and sponsorship so far.
What a special day!
Movement Campaign
October 2020
Everyone did such an amazing job! The Bible Man team cycled around 450 km all the way to Bushbuckridge, where the SePulana translation will take place. Many people moved in their own way, moving for God's Word. And then we cycled together as a team at the Cradle of Humankind - a very special moment after months of lockdown.
We're still raising the much needed funds for the SePulana translation to go forward.
Thank you for being part of the team!
Discovery 947 Cycle Challenge
November 2019
The team did an amazing job last year! All supporters, sponsors, intercessors and cyclists worked as one team, for one movement - the Bible Translation movement.
Awareness for the Makhuwa translation in Mozambique was spread, and 35.5% of the budget for 2020 was raised.
Thank you for being part of the team!
