What is your role in Bible Translation (or nature of your connection to WSA)? Tell us a bit about what you do

Sebastian:
I am seconded by WSA to Seed Company where I serve as a full-time Bible translation consultant. I provide quality assurance to three projects (Kriol, Kaaps, and Imoja), and also lead a working group called "Psalms That Sing" which is developing resources to translate the psalms in a more lyrical and poetic way.

Karen:
I facilitate Organisational Development (OD) of locally rooted Bible translation organisations, who want to grow in their capacity to to serve the Bible translation movement in contextually appropriate and sustainable ways.

Tell us a bit about your family

We have four grown sons, two of whom are married. We are grateful to be part of their lives, and are blessed to be close to our 6 grandchildren.

What are some of your hobbies and interests?

Sebastian:
I love hiking in the mountains, I love nature photography, do a lot of reading, especially in history and theology, and I am an airplane enthusiast, following the global airline scene with great interest.

Karen:
I love hiking and spending time with my family and six beautiful grandchildren.

What is something you enjoy about being part of WSA and/or Bible Translation?

Sebastian:
I really enjoy the WSA team (and missing them since we moved to Cape Town), and I especially enjoy working in small but dynamic working groups, like the psalms group.

Karen:
It is a privilege to be part of the Wycliffe SA family and to hear news of what God is doing through the team He has brought together.
