God's Word is "alive and active. Sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit" (Hebrews 4:12), constantly speaking into our lives. God speaks directly through His Word to "teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives" (2 Timothy 3:16).
