Alan Webster

 Alan joined Wycliffe SA at the beginning of 2021 as the Executive Director. He leads the organisation by supporting the Leadership Team in their domain functions, and providing supervision for key role players. 

André Raul

André Raul

André Raul has already been involved in Bible translation for a number of years in Mozambique. In 2022 he received his Master’s degree in Bible Translation, and is now continuing to work with Wycliffe SA in Mozambique as a Consultant-in-training.

Andy & Debbie Abbot

Andy and Debbie Abbot

Andy and Debbie Abbott have been working among the M* people in Southeast Asia since 2006. Their aim is to help the local church grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s Word and thus become mature disciples of Jesus Christ.

Angela Taylor

Angela Taylor

Angela is seconded to SIL International as part of the Translation Resources team. She creates free Biblical Greek training materials using Biblical Greek as the medium of instruction, which makes the lessons accessible to speakers of any language. The lessons are available on the YouTube channel, Alpha with Angela.

Ansie & Sarel van der Merwe

Ansie and Sarel van der Merwe

Ansie joined Wycliffe SA many years ago and currently works as the prayer coordinator and assistant to the director for operations. Sarel joined Wycliffe SA after they got married, working in the domains of IT, maintenance and Bible Storytelling.

Beaulla Mpinyuri

Beaulla Mpinyuri

Beaulla is the Operations Assistant for the Wycliffe SA office. She is responsible for the office administration and all practical and logistical arrangements related to the activities of Wycliffe SA. 

Bonifacio Paulo & Busie Khanyile

Bonifacio Busie Paulo

Bonifacio is the head of the Translation Services department. His role is to come up with a strategic plan for the Translation Service domain and its respective implementation. Busie is a Bible Translation Specialist in training to work on language development. 

Busani Mcingolwane

Busani Mcingolwane

Busani joined the Wycliffe SA team in 2023 as the Church Engagement & Partner Development Coordinator, a role which will also involve helping to mobilise resources for Bible Translation. He is passionate about inspiring, encouraging and equipping people to make their contribution to God's Kingdom. 

Carol van Heerden

Carol van Heerden

Carol has come on board as the Senior Field Coordinator. Together with the Hub Field Coordinators, she will be assisting the projects in the field, liaising between the field and prayer teams, Wycliffe South Africa and the funders, and ensuring all projects run smoothly and are covered in prayer. 

Hans & Patricia Combrink

Hans Combrink

After serving for 17 years in the ministry of Bible translation in Malaysia, Hans and his family returned to South Africa in 2016. He is now seconded to Biblica and, among other things, is involved in the development of a Digital Training Library (DTL) for Bible translators.

Harry & Elsbeth Brasem

Harry Elsbeth Brasem

Harry and Elsbeth have served in a number of roles with Wycliffe over more than 30 years, including the setup of the Intercessors for Africa prayer network. Their current assignment is to document the history of Wycliffe SA ahead of our 50th anniversary in 2025.

Helen van der Walt

Helen van der Walt

Helen's work is in Scripture Engagement and Ethnodoxology, which looks at the way different languages and cultures use the Bible and integrate it into all areas of life and community. She also heads up the Wycliffe Links initiative, which seeks to link God's people to develop Bible Translation and build capacity for mission.

Hellen Mathudi de Bruijn

Hellen Mathudi de Bruijn

Hellen joined Wycliffe SA at the beginning of 2022 as part of the Media & Communications team. She maintains our social media presence and is involved in the marketing for key events.

Hennie Blomerus

Hennie Blomerus

Hennie is the Head of Finance at Wycliffe SA and a member of the organisation's leadership team. He manages the budgets and advises on financial decision making, as well as overseeing the work of others on the finance team. 

Jadreque Buanaite

Jadreque Jorge

Jadreque is from Nampula province in Mozambique, which is also where his role as Hub Field Coordinator for Mozambique will be conducted. Jadreque received Biblical training for four years in Zambia, and has worked in ministry ever since, first with Harvesters Ministries and now Wycliffe South Africa.

Jennifer Pillinger

Jennifer Pillinger

Jennifer has been involved in Wycliffe SA since 2014 in various roles under the Media & Communications banner. She is responsible for the upkeep of the website and other communications such as newsletters and publicity materials, as well as providing photography and video services. 

Joey Fourie

Joey Fourie

Joey Fourie came on board in July as a second Project Accountant. She is responsible to assist in equipping the translation teams to effectively manage the project finances by timeously receiving and processing financial transactions and information used to produce reports and make critical financial decisions.

June Dickie

June Dickie

June is part of a team of OT consultants preparing workshop materials for translators of Psalms. The team is exploring a new approach, which will undergo pilot studies in the next couple of years. She is also involved in research into various aspects of Bible Translation and Scripture Engagement.

Karen & Sebastian Floor

Karen Sebastian Floor

Karen, who was formerly the director of Wycliffe SA for a period of 10 years, is now involved in facilitating Organisational Development (OD) of locally rooted Bible translation organisations. Sebastian is seconded to Seed Company where he serves as a full-time Bible translation consultant. 

Ken & Corine Brown

Ken Corine Brown

Ken trains teams in oral Bible translation and Scripture engagement in Southern Africa, working especially with an unreached people group in northern Mozambique. Corine supports the family and Ken in his work and studies, keeping in touch with partners and taking care of planning and logistics for trips to Mozambique. 

Marcelina Neto

Marcelina Neto

Marcelina started in June 2024 as the new Hub Field Coordinator for Angola. Her role will involve liaising and organising between Wycliffe South Africa and the various translation projects that are taking place in Angola, providing reports and looking for opportunities to serve language communities in the region.

Mesuli Tshele

Mesuli Tshele

Mesuli joined WSA in 2023 to mobilise funding for the organisation by engaging existing relationships with foundations, organisations and church movements and establishing new relationships with these organisations.

Nick & Lynne Swanepoel

Nick Lynne Swanepoel

Nick and Lynne worked with the Rendille in Kenya for more than 30 years. Nick continues to help the Rendille translation team with exegesis, and other aspects of their translation work. Lynne developed a literacy programme for the Rendille including a teacher's guide, and is now writing an autobiography.

Noziqhamo Skele

Noziqhamo Skele joined Wycliffe South Africa in 2024 as an intern. She studied Business Management at Tshwane North TVET college in Pretoria. Her role at Wycliffe South Africa involves providing administration support, especially in the Finance department and with admin.

Rina Blomerus

Rina Blomerus

Rina joined the team in April 2024 to provide Member Care for the members of Wycliffe South Africa involved in Bible Translation locally and abroad. This means making sure the members thrive and don’t just survive! She does this through regular contact sessions either online or in person.

Sarah-Odwa Madyibi

Sarah Madyibi

With a background in Organisational Psychology and Supply Chain Management, Sarah-Odwa joined WSA in 2023 as Head of Personnel. Her objective is to help create an enabling environment to build the people who build WSA and fulfil its vision.

Sharon Kemp joined the Wycliffe SA team in 2020 and works in the finance department as a bookkeeper.

Sizukiwe Vimbani

Sizukiwe Vimbani

Sizukiwe joined WSA in 2023 as the Psalms that Sing Administrator and Intern Project Facilitator. As the PtS Administrator, she provides operational support to the project and its stakeholders. As a Project Facilitator intern, she shadows the senior Field Coordinator to learn and develop the skills necessary for the role.

Stephen & Lezelle Coertze

Stephen Coertze

Stephen served as the director of Wycliffe SA from 1997-2007, and is now seconded to Wycliffe Global Alliance. Together with his leadership team and staff, he provides leadership to the Alliance in his position as Executive Director.

Steve & Johanna Pillinger

Steve Johanna Pillinger

Steve and Johanna have worked with Wycliffe since the early 1980s in a variety of roles and locations. Currently, Johanna contributes her skills as an ethno-artist. Steve works as a typesetter for sister organisation SIL, and maintains the International Scripture Maps and Illustrations Repository.

Tom & Sharon Jacob

Tom Sharon Jacob

Tom is a Bible translation consultant working closely with Bible translators all across Africa helping them to produce high quality translation work. Sharon is an exegetical advisor, helping translators understand the meaning of the Scriptures and the first century world of the Bible.

Tshegofalo Siele

Tshegofalo Siele

Tshegofalo has been working with Wycliffe South Africa since 2014, as a project accountant. She equips the translation teams to effectively manage the project finances through the production of reports which are used to make critical financial decisions about the projects.

Wendy Lock

Wendy Lock

Wendy supports Bible Translation by teaching Missionary Children at Faith Academy in Manila, Philippines where she is the First Grade teacher.
