What is your role in Bible Translation (or nature of your connection to WSA)? Tell us a bit about what you do

Nick:
I help the Rendille translation team in northern Kenya with exegesis, and other aspects of their translation work.

Lynne:
I developed a literacy programme for the Rendille including in depth teacher's guides. Many of the first students continue to teach far out in the nomadic clan villages. Many of these villages now have a small church.

Tell us a bit about your family

When we first arrived in Kenya in December 1980, we visited Korr for the first time with our sons Vernon (7) and Grant (6), together with our daughter Renee (8 months old). Vernon now lives in the UK and is waiting for his family in Namibia to get visas to join him. Grant and his wife Loki are missionaries in South Africa, involved in grass-roots theological training. Renee and her husband Stephen live in the UK and have two little children.

What are some of your hobbies and interests?

Nick:
Photography.

Lynne:
Writing, knitting and gardening.

What is something you enjoy about being part of WSA and/or Bible Translation?

Nick:
I love helping to express the deep things of God in the
Rendille language.

Lynne:
Seeing so many mono-lingual Rendille serving God
wholeheartedly!
