Within the topic of Culture, we look at:
- What is culture?
- Worldview and cultural differences
- Crossing cultures
- The Bible and culture
- Contextualisation
Explore mission in the Bible and today's world, as well as the wide concept of culture. Be equipped to serve others and to be sensitive to the diversity of God's creation.
This training will ask the big questions about God's mission - misseo Dei - and will give space to see God's plan for you. It will also start to explore culture, and will introduce you to the culture of one of our language groups doing Bible translation in southern Africa. The course includes topics like "leading a listening group" and "testimony giving".
The training and resources have been developed and based on a Masters degree in Contemporary Missiology and an undergraduate degree in Biblical and Intercultural Studies.
Required for short-term mission trips.
