A Place for Everyone

“Whichever gifts, talents, knowledge, and skills God has given you, I don’t think he’s made any mistake in giving that to you,” shares Serge Razafinjatoniary. He and his wife Olivia, who are from Madagascar, actively encourage others to ask God if he wants them to use their gifts for Bible translation. Through their own unexpected journeys into Bible translation, they have developed a firm conviction that God has a place for anyone he is calling to serve.

As of March 2015, Serge became the new director of SIL Southern Africa, overseeing SIL’s work across 18 countries, including Madagascar. Olivia continues to work as a Bible translation consultant, while completing doctoral studies in Bible translation. In October 2015 they relocated to South Africa to be in a better location for Serge's new role.
